Road rehabilitation works worth 2.6 million AFN starts in Laghman

LAGHMAN, Mar. 12 – Repair work on a road in Mehtarlam, the capital of Laghman province has begun at the expense of the local government.

At the opening ceremony for the road work, Laghman Deputy Governor Mawlawi Saeed Ahmed Banuri, Mehtarlam Mayor Mawlawi Rehmatullah Shehamat, and representatives of provincial institutions took part.

The construction of a road by the Mehtarlam municipality, which will cost 2.6 million AFN and be funded by the Mehtarlam municipality, has begun in the city’s centre area, according to Mawlawi Rahmatullah Shahamat, the mayor of Mehtarlam.

Laghman Deputy Governor Mawlawi Saeed Ahmad Banuri, besides thanking the officials of Mehtarlam Municipality, recommended to complete the construction works on time according to the standard so that they can be benefitial.
