Response of the Ministry of National Defense to US Ambassador’s Statements on Halicopter Assets

The Ministry of National Defense of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has responded to recent comments made by the US Ambassador to Uzbekistan.

According to statement any deal regarding the fate of Afghanistan-related planes and helicopters in Uzbekistan is not acceptable. It asserts that the United States does not have the authority to seize and distribute Afghan assets.

Uzbekistan’s government is urged to abstain from any such dealings, make prudent decisions reflecting good neighborly relations, and collaborate in the transfer of Afghan Air Force aircraft and helicopters.
