KABUL, Oct. 06 – Repair and reconstruction work of 24.9 kilometers of roads on the main highway between Parwan and Bamyan provinces has been started, said press office of the ministery of public wirks.

The opening ceremony of the project was attended by Alhaji Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadhi, the governor of Bamyan province, Mullah Abdul Khaliq Haqmal, the head of public works of the province, and a number of local officials of Bamyan province.

This road extends from Do Abi Aghaz area to Kotel Shiber, which includes the repair of 24.9 km of asphalt road, 79 cubic meters of retaining wall and cleaning of 455 cubic meters of sediments from the road surface.

During the work of this project, job opportunities have been created for a number of local residents, and with its completion, major transportation problems of passers-by will be soloved.
