Speaking about the installation of more than 62,000 cameras in Kabul city, the representative of Amnesty International said that these cameras are aimed at violating human rights, entering the private space and imposing restrictions.

We completely reject such baseless claims because; When the United States and NATO were carrying out surveillance operations by placing balloons in all zones of the country including Kabul for their own purposes and intelligence information, then why didn’t the defenders of human rights and privacy didn’t raised their voice against those violations.

Everyone knows, installing security cameras is a security necessity not only in Afghanistan; But it is common in every city and capital of all the countries of the world. The Islamic Emirate is also committed to maintaining security protecting all the rights of the people, and taking into account all Sharia principles.

In Islamic law, it is not allowed to violate someone’s private space or to bring it under surveillance.

The cameras installed in the city of Kabul have been installed by the Ministry of Interior Affairs with the help and advice of the people, or at the suggestion of the Ministry of Interior Affairs at locations chosen by people and then installed by the Ministry of Interior Affairs. A special place was not specified for the installation of cameras and also the control room of all cameras is secure and no one has the right to access it.

In the end we request the Amnesty International Organization and other organizations to express their position or opinion by looking at the ground realities of Afghanistan.
