It is with great sadness to have learnt that multiple assailants carried out an attack on Kabul university and inflicted casualties on university students and other civilian personnel.

The Islamic Emirate condemns this attack as well as an earlier airstrike on a mosque in Takhar province that caused casualties to child students and the barbaric attack on Kausar Education Center in the strongest terms. It prays for the forgiveness of martyrs, quick recovery for the injured and immense patience for families of the victims.

Certainly, such attacks are carried out by evil elements that were defeated in Nangarhar and Jowzjan provinces and subsequently sought refuge with the Kabul administration, which in turn hosted them in guesthouses and are recruiting, supporting and directing such attacks and sketching plans for them.

These sites are not military outposts, bases or other military targets that might justify attacks, but such attacks are to display savagery, spread terror and conduct propaganda.

Senior Kabul administration officials, instead of feeling a sense of shame and remorse, are trying to somehow attribute responsibility to the Islamic Emirate, which itself shows that these attacks are a joint venture carried out to manufacture raw propaganda material.

But all praise belongs to Allah, the Muslim Afghan nation knows the Islamic Emirate intimately and understands well that our Mujahideen never carry out attacks on educational institutes, public spaces or areas that have no military target.
