The widening, light installing, and landscaping project for Hakim Naser Khosrow Balkhi Road, situated to the north of Roza-e-Mubarak in the second and third districts of Mazar-e-Sharif city, with a cost of 6.5 million Afghanis funded by internal revenues of Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality, has been commenced on Thursday morning.

The inauguration was officiated by Deputy Mayor Mawlawi Mohammad Nasim Abed, alongside Professor Mohammad Javed Mayar, the Sectoral and Technical Head of the Municipality, officials from various municipal departments, and residents from the respective areas.

The project encompassed concrete work for expanded sections, the construction of median barriers, installation of guardrails, provision of parking spaces, installation of traffic lights, road markings, and other standard road details, with a completion timeline of two months.

The local community lauded the initiative by the municipality, recognizing it as a constructive measure to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance infrastructure, and generate employment opportunities.
