The National Development Corporation (NDC) has reported that the completion of Phase 2 of the Qush Tepa Canal stands at 81%, with the construction of the canal dam reaching 67% completion. NDC representatives have indicated that efforts are presently focused on the construction of four bridges, with additional bridges slated for development along the Qush Tepa Canal route.

 

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock underscores the significance of finalizing the Qush Tepa Canal project, citing its potential to drive employment opportunities, enhance agricultural output, and bolster food security.

The NDC aims to conclude the excavation work for the second phase of the Qush Tepa Canal project, located in the Andkhoi district of Faryab, by the conclusion of the current solar year, with an estimated cost of 20 billion afghanis.
