Muttaqi warmly welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the longstanding friendship between Afghanistan and Qatar and the need to further strengthen this bond.

During the meeting, Mr. Al-Khulifi expressed his deep connection to Afghanistan, referring to it as his second home. He pledged Qatar’s commitment to providing necessary cooperation between the two countries in various areas, including the economy, politics, healthcare, infrastructure projects, and the banking sector.

One notable initiative highlighted by Mr. Al-Khulifi was Qatar’s intention to construct a well-equipped 400-bed hospital in Kandahar, which would serve to provide essential healthcare services to the Afghan population.

Regarding the Doha 3rd meeting, Mr. Al-Khulifi emphasized the importance of the Islamic Emirate’s participation, stating that without their involvement, the meeting would not yield any significant benefits. Furthermore, he extended an invitation to Muttaqi to visit Qatar on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
