Two projects in Paktika province, implemented by the Ministry of Public Works, have been successfully completed and inaugurated, with a total value of approximately 22 million Afghanis, said a statement of the ministry of public works.

The projects were officially opened in the presence of Mawlawi Mohammad Akbar Adel, the esteemed head of public works in the province, along with various local officials.

The first project involved the repair and reconstruction of a 10-kilometer section of the Paktika-Gardiz road, valued at 14.46 million Afghanis. The second project focused on the repair and reconstruction of a 21-kilometer stretch of the Paktika road, specifically from Sarda Band to Ghazni, with a cost of 7.64 million Afghanis. These projects were contracted to separate construction companies, and their completion marks a significant milestone.

Notably, these projects have not only enhanced transportation infrastructure but also provided employment opportunities for local residents both directly and indirectly. The successful implementation of these projects by IEA has effectively addressed transportation challenges faced by the community.
