The program for outlining the achievements of the state institutions serves as a crucial initiative to ensure transparency, reflect the facts, and enhance collaboration between the government and its citizens. By facilitating access to accurate information, this initiative strengthens media relations and provides a platform for interaction between the public and government entities. Held annually at the Government Media and Information Center, the program invites senior officials from the state institutions to present comprehensive reports on the last year’s performance and outline the priorities for the upcoming year.

This event offers a unique opportunity for government entities to transparently communicate their yearly accomplishments to the media, which in turn conveys this information to the broader public. Through this initiative, the government aims to foster informed public opinion, ensure accurate media reporting, and address potential gaps in information dissemination.

The Islamic Emirate, within the framework of Islamic principles, is committed to freedom of speech and media activities in Afghanistan. Holding the program to outline the achievements of the state institutions is a key component of this commitment. The initiative reflects a proactive approach towards fulfilling the information needs of journalists and enriching media activities.

This year, as part of its continued efforts, the Islamic Emirate organized the program for outlining the achievements of the state institutions in which senior officials from state institutions participated, presenting detailed reports on their respective areas of responsibility.

The program garnered significant attention from both public and private media outlets, as well as from social media platforms. Various media channels provided live coverage, while others published detailed reports and exclusive analyses. On social media, users actively engaged in promoting public awareness, sharing verified information, and fostering dialogue between the government and the public.

The performance of the state institutions over the past year has demonstrated notable progress in key areas such as political stability, economic growth, security, judicial reforms, and social services. These achievements underscore the ongoing efforts to build a self-sustaining, prosperous, and independent Afghanistan.

Furthermore, the program played a pivotal role in countering misinformation spread by certain foreign media outlets. By disseminating factual and credible information, the program helped dispel the misleading narratives often propagated by external sources. In many cases, foreign media rely on unreliable information, which is frequently published without regard for its accuracy or potential consequences. This program indeed provided a direct platform for disseminating accurate and verified information from credible sources.

This year’s program focused on several critical areas, including:

1. Economic Development: Despite international sanctions and restrictions, substantial efforts were made to bolster the agricultural and industrial sectors, attract domestic and foreign investment, and revitalize the national economy.

2. Infrastructure Development: Significant progress was achieved in infrastructure development, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads, highways, and other critical infrastructure projects. Efforts were also made to expand energy access, particularly in rural areas, and to connect remote regions with urban centers.

3. Social Services: Public service delivery saw marked improvements, with a particular focus on health and education. Mobile and fixed health facilities were established in rural areas, and approximately 1.5 million students were enrolled in public and private schools.

4. Security and Stability: Considerable advancements were made in strengthening national security, reducing crime rates, curbing drug production and trafficking, and enhancing the capabilities of security and defense forces. These efforts contributed to creating a secure environment for investment and infrastructure development.

5. Governance and Rule of Law: The Islamic Emirate made significant strides in promoting good governance, enhancing the judicial system, ensuring the rule of law, combating corruption, and increasing transparency in revenue collection and organizational reforms.

6. Political and Diplomatic Relations: The Islamic Emirate’s meaningful presence at international meetings and conferences, along with strengthened diplomatic relations with neighboring countries, the region, and the world, has facilitated the attraction of humanitarian aid, understanding with donors, and improved conditions for implementing national and key infrastructure projects, as such TAPI (Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India Pipeline), TAP (Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline), railroads, fiber optics, and other important projects.

The active participation of senior officials from state institutions and the continued cooperation of public and private media can undoubtedly be considered major factors contributing to the success of this program. Holding this program has not only helped reflect the achievements of the state institutions, however, it also strengthened mutual cooperations between the government and media outlets.

In short, this program has played a key role in raising public awareness, increasing people’s trust and confidence in the government, reflecting facts, and preventing the spread of negative and false propaganda by certain media outlets, individuals, and hostile groups. Holding this program demonstrates the firm support of the Islamic Emirate for media activities in Afghanistan, and the ruling system is dedicated to organizing similar initiatives that facilitate open dialogue between the government and the media, thereby enriching public discourse and enhancing governance.
