KABUL, Nov. 05 – According to a recently released UN assessment, opium cultivation has declined throughout Afghanistan, leading to a sharp fall in the crop’s yield and drug output overall. In comparison to prior years, drug manufacturing and cultivation in Afghanistan have decreased by 95%, according to a report released by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

It is important to note that Amir-ul-Momineen Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzadah, issued an order outlawing the production, distribution, and smuggling of any kind of drug, particularly opium, across the nation.

The security forces demolished large tracts of land used for drug and poppie production across the nation, and the prohibition significantly reduced the amount of drugs grown there.
