Under the leadership of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Economic Deputy Prime Minister, the National Procurement Commission has given its approval to a range of projects worth approximately 8 billion Afghanis as per the office of the economic deputy prime minister.

The regular meeting of the commission, reviewed a total of 31 projects for consideration. Out of these, 25 project contracts were approved, while some contracts were canceled and one project contract was reopened for open bidding.

 

Among the projects that received approval are the finalization of remaining construction works for a 100-bed hospital in Ghazni Province, completion of diversion tunnels for the Bakhshabad Dam, reconstruction of various internal roads in Kabul City, completion of the remaining works for the third phase of the Kamal Khan Dam, and a number of other initiatives.

These projects are expected to generate employment opportunities for hundreds of citizens.
