KABUL, Dec. 03 – The Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Alhaji Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund, welcomed a delegation of scholars from the Ulema Association of Islamic countries.

The scholars expressed their admiration for the Islamic system in Afghanistan and praised it as the result of sacrifices made by scholars, Hafiz (those who have memorized the Quran), and Mujahideen (Islamic fighters) of Afghanistan. They referred to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as a symbol of Islamic systems, and mentioned that the eyes of the Islamic world are on Afghanistan and the Mujahideen of Palestine.

 

Dr. Ali Qara Daghi, speaking on behalf of the scholars, conveyed their assurance of cooperation in political, economic, and social fields. He mentioned that the delegation represented 64 societies of Islamic countries and scholars from four religions. The scholars emphasized the importance of unity in the Islamic Ummah (community) and stated that only scholars can shoulder the responsibility of addressing the challenges faced by the oppressed Palestinian nation.

 

Prime Minister Alhaji Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund expressed gratitude to the visiting scholars and acknowledged their role in shaping the current Islamic system in Afghanistan. He recognized the efforts and hard work of scholars from the Islamic world. The Prime Minister also highlighted the parallel struggles faced by the Afghan people and the Palestinian nation throughout history, emphasizing the need for unity within the Islamic Ummah to overcome these challenges.

 

Additionally, the Prime Minister acknowledged the ongoing difficulties faced by Afghanistan, including earthquakes, floods, and the mass expulsion of Afghan refugees. He assured that the officials of the Islamic Emirate are committed to addressing these problems and expressed a willingness to cooperate as much as possible.

The Prime Minister concluded by emphasizing the importance of sincerity and mutual support among Islamic nations, and expressed the intention to remember each other in prayers to alleviate the current problems faced by the Islamic Ummah.
