According to Transparency International’s 2022 CORRUPTION PERCEPTION INDEX, Afghanistan scored 24 points and ranked 150 out of 180 countries ruled by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, while 90% of countries have made no progress in eliminating corruption since 2017.

Though Afghanistan has made significant progress in the corruption perception index compared to previous years and is now ranked 150 out of 180 countries, up from 174 last time, the Ministry of Finance is dissatisfied with the statistics published by this organization on transparency and anti-corruption and requests a thorough review.

Since the Ministry of Finance made the entire financial sector transparent and eliminated corruption, the level of national revenue has increased and the country’s economy is improving.

The World Bank provided a sample of this; therefore, we call on the International Transparency Initiative to publish its information and report based on Afghanistan’s existing facts and present Afghanistan’s factual situation to the world.

Instead of obtaining incorrect information from invalid and untrustworthy sources and reflecting accurate information based on international standards, the Ministry of Finance requests that Transparency International and other organizations thoroughly evaluate the fight against corruption in Afghanistan.

We are prepared for any necessary and moral collaboration.
