KABUL, Jan. 15 –  A praying ceremony was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the martyrdom of scores of its staff during the latest deadly incident that took place at the gate of the ministry, few days ago, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

The praying ceremony commenced with the recitation of of holy Quran, and was attended by the deputy foreign ministers, officials and personnel of the foreign” ministry as well as the family members of the martyrs, according to the ministry’s statement released on its Twitter.

“Families of the martyrs, during the ceremony, expressed their support to the Islamic system with further devotions and sacrifices,” the statement added.

Extending his condolence to those lost their lives in the incident, the country’s acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Mutaqqi said the Islamic Emirate joins its great grieves and will not allow the enemy to reach its target.

According to the official reports, at least five people have been killed and scores wounded, as a man wearing explosive vest detonated himself outside the ministry’s gate few days ago.
