KANDAHAR, Oct. 08 – Reports arriving from southern Kandahar province state that a hireling check post located in Kotaki area of Maruf district was overrun and 7 gunmen killed as well as an APC and 2 motorbikes destroyed amid a Mujahideen attack overnight. It is said that 2 PKM machine guns, 1 Dshk with 4 boxes of its rounds, 7 rifles with 2000 rounds, 1 pistol, 1 motorbike, 3000 rounds of heavy machine gun, and other equipment was seized. A Mujahid has embraced martyrdom and another one wounded (May Allah accept them).
