KABUL, Jan. 08 – The Political Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, held a meeting with Mr. Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the Special Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation in Kabul.

 

During the meeting, Mr. Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, highlighted the cooperative foreign policy between Iran and the Islamic Emirate. He mentioned the signing of numerous cooperation documents between the two countries, particularly in the fields of trade, agriculture, electricity, and mining. Mr. Qomi expressed Iran’s readiness to collaborate further in investment and technical sectors.

 

Mr. Qomi emphasized Iran’s commitment to promoting economic strength and regional trade cooperation, aiming to facilitate direct access for Afghan goods to Turkish and European markets through regional transit routes.

 

The ambassador noted that Iranian investors are eager to work alongside Afghan investors in the agriculture sector. He assured that if Afghanistan succeeds in exporting agricultural products, Iran will be the first market for such goods.

 

Mr. Qomi clarified that Iran does not support opponents of the Islamic Emirate but rather seeks to integrate Afghanistan into regional cooperation efforts. He emphasized that groups or individuals attempting to fuel opposition and discord between Iran and Afghanistan would not succeed.

 

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, as the Political Deputy Prime Minister, expressed condolences on behalf of the Iranian delegation for the recent incident in Iran that resulted in casualties. He condemned the common enemy, ISIS, and their aim to destabilize the region and harm innocent people.

 

The Political Deputy Minister thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan. He expressed Afghanistan’s desire to develop and strengthen relations not only with Iran but with all neighboring countries. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir emphasized that the Islamic Emirate’s policy is rooted in ensuring that Afghanistan, including Iran, poses no threat to anyone and aims to play a positive role in regional security and stability.

 

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir concluded by highlighting the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to an economy-oriented policy, aiming for Afghanistan to become a pivotal center for economic stability and regional development.
