Today, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, held discussions with Hassan Kazmi Qomi, the Ambassador and Special Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation at Sepedar Palace.

During the meeting, Mr. Qomi provided updates on the repatriation of Afghan prisoners from Iran, expressing his country’s desire to enhance relations and collaboration with Afghanistan across political, economic, and cultural domains. He emphasized Iran’s efforts to grant Afghanistan access to freshwater by activating and expanding Chabahar Port.

Furthermore, Hassan Kazmi Qomi mentioned Iran’s readiness to finalize pending healthcare projects in Afghanistan and expressed intentions to initiate medical and scientific initiatives at Afghan universities.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the esteemed Political Deputy of the Minister of State, extended a warm welcome to the Iranian ambassador and delegation, affirming the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to fostering positive relationships with all nations and ensuring that Afghanistan does not become a source of harm to others.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir commended the fruitful visit of the Iranian Ministry of Justice delegation to Afghanistan, highlighting the Islamic Emirate’s dedication to collaborating with Iran. He concluded by expressing appreciation for the agreement concerning the transfer of a thousand Afghan prisoners from Iran to Afghanistan and requested the continuation of this process.
