H.E Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy Prime Minister of the IEA., attended and addressed the graduation ceremony for the students of Kabul University of Medical Sciences in the year 1403.

During this event, graced by the presence of Sheikh Nida Muhammad Nadeem, the Acting Minister of Higher Education, along with university professors, scholars, and youths, the political deputy of the state minister extended congratulations to the newly minted doctors and their families, expressing the community’s pride in these emerging healthcare professionals.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir remarked that Afghanistan’s healthcare sector had suffered from tarnished reputations, mafia activities, and the limited capacities of medical facilities, leading patients to seek treatment in neighboring countries. However, since the advent of the Islamic Emirate, he noted the eradication of mafia influences, the implementation of reforms, and ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare services.

Stressing the importance of providing high-quality healthcare within the nation, he urged doctors, health sector investors, and businesspeople to import quality medications given the challenging economic conditions faced by Afghans. He recommended that the Ministry of Health oversee the quality of healthcare services and medications, with a focus on extending healthcare provisions to all citizens, including those residing in bordering regions.

The political deputy also called upon international aid agencies and the World Health Organization to bolster their support for Afghanistan’s healthcare system, aiding in the delivery of top-notch services to all Afghan citizens.

Furthermore, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir encouraged national and international investors to consider investing in the specialized healthcare sector, assuring them of the necessary support. He emphasized the prevailing security throughout Afghanistan, ensuring a sense of safety for all, including medical professionals, free from concerns of theft, kidnapping, or other adversities. He highlighted the shift towards peace and security in Afghanistan, noting the absence of violence, savagery, and tribal conflicts, with overall security now guaranteed.

In conclusion, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir criticized past puppet regime for their lack of commitment to Afghanistan’s development, citing the problems they had caused within various systems, including the healthcare sector.
