Police chief along his deputy, 4 more killed

KHOST, May 8 – Syed Ahmad Baba Zai, the police chief of Khost along with his deputy, Fazal Haq Safi and 4 soldiers have been killed with 1 injured in the provincial capital of Khost province.

This came after the enemy had suffered casualties in a clash with Mujahideen last night and the reinforcements were called for.

In a fresh operation led by the Syed Ahmad Baba Zai, the enemy attempted to launch an offensive against Mujahideen in which a landmine blast blew up the tank carrying the police chief, his deputy and others, killing 6 enemy military personnel including the police chief and his deputy and wounding 1 soldier.
