Following the completion of preliminary groundwork, the paving of a new connecting road from the Bat Khak (Malalai) intersection in the twenty-second district to the stretch of the ring road has commenced, says Kabul municipality.
Mohammad Hamid Sadat, the chief engineer overseeing infrastructure projects at the Department of Programs and Projects of Kabul Municipality, emphasized that the asphalt work on this road is being conducted meticulously to address the concerns of residents residing along this route.
He elaborated that this 1325-meter road, with a width of 45 meters, is being constructed with the inclusion of curbs, bridges, green spaces, and other standard road components.
Furthermore, as part of efforts to alleviate congestion and modernize traffic infrastructure, Kabul Municipality is implementing measures to transform the Bat Khak (Malalai) intersection from a roundabout configuration to a signalized intersection, incorporating traffic lights and signage. This initiative aims to enhance transportation for residents in areas such as Syed Jamaluddin Township, Ahmad Shah Baba Maina, Lata Band Road (Kabul-Jalalabad Second Road), Gazak, and Bat Khak, providing numerous conveniences and improved traffic flow.
