The second phase of road construction has initiated in the sixth district of Lashkargah city, the capital of Helmand province, with a budget exceeding 15 million Afghanis. Mohammad Abbas Zirak, the Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of Lashkargah Municipality, confirmed the commencement of paving the 3.5-kilometer road, funded by the municipality’s development budget totaling 15,386,904 Afghanis.
Zirak also mentioned that work on the third phase of the road is set to begin shortly.
