Officials from the Panjshir Department of Minerals and Petroleum have announced the recent sale of newly extracted emeralds from the province’s mines for $36,000 through a single bid.

 

Mawlawi Mohammad Qasim Amiri, the Director of the Panjshir Department of Minerals and Petroleum, informed Bakhtar News that once again, a batch of 6,000-carat emeralds from Panjshir province was sold to local traders for $36,000. The Mining Monitoring Committee, local authorities, and multiple bidders were present during the transaction.

 

Additionally, Mawlawi Mohammad Qasim Amiri noted that numerous carats of emeralds had been previously sold to domestic traders.
