Over 80,000 metric tons of cargo transported by railway lines last week

KABUL, Feb. 04 – According to a statement of the Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) during the last week Afghanistan Railway facilitated the transportation of a significant volume of goods, amounting to 81,577 metric tons.

Among these, 62,836 tons were transported via Hairatan Railway, 10,527 tons via Aqeena Railway, and 8,214 tons via Torghondi Railway. The materials transported included petroleum, non-petroleum products, and various other commodities, contributing to the import and export activities of the country.

 

It is worth noting that a portion of these transfers involved transit and export operations. Over the course of the previous week, 658 tons of goods were transited and exported, predominantly consisting of dry fruits, rice, and fresh fruits.
