PAKTIA, Oct. 17 – Over 73 joint enemy personnel have been killed with several dozens more wounded in martyr operations in Gardiz city, the capital of southeastern province of Paktia, according to Al-Emarah News.

The attack initiated at about 9:00 a.m. local time when a Mujahid of martyr squad of the Islamic conducted a first martyr attack using a tuck filed with explosives at the gate of police headquarters, enabling the other attackers to enter facility and began the enemy under fire within the headquarters.

Shortly afterwards, a second explosion occurred when another martyr attacker drove his explosive-filled Humvee truck and detonated it inside the headquarters blowing all the security checkpoints and barriers apart.

As many as 33 joint enemy personnel have been killed in the blast and directing shooting attacks.

Later a third blast by Mujahideen killed over 40 policemen in front of the police headquarters.
