Over 70 killed and wounded, 9 APCs destroyed in Helmand martyrdom attack

HELMAND, Aug. 23 – At around 11:00 am local time today, enemy personnel of ANA and ANP escorted by APCs came under a martyrdom attack of Mujahideen close to police district head quarter of capital Lashkargah.
According to details, the attack was carried out by a martyrdom seeker Mujahid – Nizam ul din Hanzala resident of Musa Kala district – with the help of an explosive laden vehicle.
Initial information suggests that as many as 39 puppets including key commanders and stooge regime officers have been killed, 31 other wounded and 9 APCs, 3 ranger pickups have been destroyed.
This comes after 4 military centers were overrun by Mujahideen in the surroundings of Nawa district overnight, killing 28 puppets, leaving 8 other wounded as well as destroying 4 APCs 1 tank while seizing a sizable amount of war spoils.
