Over 500 tons of Turkish aid arrives Herat

HERAT, Nov. 24 – A few days ago, a train carrying 508 tons of food and non-food items donated by the benevolent people of Turkey left for Afghanistan and arrived this morning to Tor Ghondi port of Herat and was handed to the Afghani Red Crescent, said Afghan Red Crescent Society in a statement.

A total of 222 tons of food goods, including flour, oil, rice, beans, lentils, peas, sugar, olives, macaroni, black tea, soup flour, jam, and biscuits, are included in the donated help in addition to non-food items. Notably, the relief will be given to the families impacted by the earthquake in the province of Herat as well as those returning from Pakistan.
