Over 50 including commanders slain in Chilgazy, equipment seized

FARYAB, Oct. 16 – Reports say a gunfight that broke out against commander Dostum’s Gulam Jam militias in Kunjak, Karez and Chahar Shanby areas of Chilgazey district early yesterday ended late Saturday after enemy suffered heavy casualties.
During firefight as many as 7 hireling tanks, 2 ranger pickups and a reinforcement truck have been destroyed, as well as 50 puppets including 5 commanders have been killed while 15 corpses left on the battle ground.
Reports add, commander Mirwise, Majid Qara Turkaman and Commander Shah Muhammad area among those killed with further 100 including Qisar district police chief – commander Nizam Gaw – have been wounded.
2 tanks, 1 ranger pickup, 1 vehicle, 1 82- artillery, 1 RPG launcher, 2 PKM machine guns, 8 Kalashnikovs and various other military equipment have been seized in the operation.
5 Mujahideen sustain injuries and 3 others embraced martyrdom during the operation (May Allah accept them).
