NIMROZ, Nov. 23 – The Department of Refugees and Returnees Affairs of Nimroz Province says that during the last one month, around 49,720 Afghans have returned to the country from Iran via the Silk Road.
Head of Refugees and Returnees Affairs of Nimroz Province Alhaj Mawlawi Sediqullah “Nusrat” said, 1050 families came to the country forcibly, of which 4451 people and 198 families came voluntarily, which is 730 people came to the country.
Mr. Nusrat added, those who were financially most vulnerable were introduced to the IOM office for assistance; Among them, 7475 people who suffered the most were given cash and food.
He also said that 45 dead bodies have been brought to the country from Iran in the last month.
