Over 45 killed or hurt, 2 APCs destroyed as several posts overrun in Nad Ali

HLEMAND, Aug. 03 – A latest report from Nad Ali district of Helmand province states that a gunfight that erupted early this morning against enemy troops in the most strategic area of Chanjir Bazar and the surroundings areas is said to be still ongoing.
According to details at around 5:00 pm today all the check posts in the said area have been overrun, leaving 45 gunmen killed or wounded as well as 2 APCs destroyed.
An APC and several heavy and light weapons have reportedly been seized in the successful operation.
