Over 45 killed and wounded, 5 motorbikes seized as 5 posts overrun in Badghis

BADGHIS, Jun. 20 – Amid ongoing spring offensive ‘Al Khandaq Operations’, Mujahideen carried out coordinated assaults on hireling check posts in Marghab district last night.

Attacks of heavy, light and sniper arms continued till early morning hours, resulting in 2 posts overrun completely after killing and wounding 35 ANA and ANP personnel while confiscating a sizable amount of was spoils, the details of which will be updated later.

Separately, Mujahideen attacked Ab Kamari district administration center and surrounding check posts overnight, overrunning 3 check posts after killing 5 puppets and leaving 6 others wounded while seizing 5 motorbikes and other ammunition.

5 Mujahideen were wounded and 2 more have embraced martyrdom during the operations (May Allah accept them).
