TAKHAR, June 4 – Over 40 joint enemy military personnel suffered casualties in bloodiest fighting following the enemy offensives in Dasht-e-Qala district of northern Takhar province on Sunday.
Fighting raged after Mujahideen counterattacked the enemy offensives yesterday, lasting through the day in which the enemy was forced to retreat with fatal losses.
Two of the enemy tanks were also destroyed in the operation, whereas a Mujahid fighter was wounded in yesterday’s operation. An intelligence officer was among those killed in the fighting.
In another report, 2 puppets including an officer were killed after the enemy offensive was repelled in Khwaja Bahauddin district of Takhar province on Sunday.
