 LAGHMAN, Apr. 9 – A landmine blast tore through an armored tank in Alishang district of eastern Laghman province on Saturday, leaving 3 puppets dead and 4 injured.

Also Saturday, Mujahideen attacked on the battalion part of the escort security forces for the governor who was in person there in an attempt to boost the confidence and lift the spirits of those trying to set up posts in Alishang district.

The governor and all those with him had been under attacks from different directions by Mujahideen before they the managed to flee with fatal losses. The area is said to have come under heavy airstrikes.

Separately, the enemy blew up with bombing a large wooden bridge in the limits of the provincial capital of Laghman province on Saturday to make it difficult for the civilians to across the river. They said they did so to prevent Mujahideen going over the bridge.

According to another report, two puppets suffered fatal wounds in clash caused by Mujahideen ambush in the provincial capital of Laghman province on Saturday.

In a report from neighboring Nangarhar province, a puppet was killed when he was shot in Bati Kot district of Nangarhar province on Sunday morning.
