Over 380,000 metric tons of goods transported by Railway lines this month

KABUL, Jan. 24 -During the current month of 1402 AH, Afghanistan’s railway successfully transported a total of 386,649 metric tons of goods. This includes 295,241 tons through the Haritaan railway, 17,616 tons through the Aqeena railway, and 73,792 tons through the Torghundai railway, said a statement of the Afghanistan Railway Authority.

These transfers encompassed various materials, including petroleum, non-petroleum products, and other commodities, both for import and export purposes.

It is important to note that a portion of these transfers involved exports and transit. Among these 3,002 metric tons were exported and transited from the country, with a significant focus on dried fruits and pomegranate juice.

Looking at the numbers for the current month, there has been a 6% increase in transfers compared to the previous critical month. The Afghanistan Railway Authority is actively working to create favorable conditions for more transfers and provide necessary facilities to support traders.
