Over 15 killed or wounded as military base attacked in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, June. 27 – Amid ongoing spring offensive ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen carried out an assault on a key enemy base in Soznyano area of Arghandab district midnight yesterday.
Attacks of heavy and light weapons lasted for a about 3 hours during which an APC was destroyed by RPG fire, 11 gunmen killed and 4 others wounded.
An American heavy machine gun, 2 rifles, 1 communication device and other war equipment was seized in the operation.
