Over 15 killed and wounded as 3 posts overrun in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, May. 18 – Reports say, Mujahideen carried out attacks on a hireling check post in Laqu area of Arghistan district overnight, sparking heavy clashes that continued till early morning hours, overrunning the post after killing 9 including commander Shamshad while forcing the rest to flee leaving corpses behind on the battle ground while destroying an APC and a ranger pickup as well as seizing 4 motorbikes, 3 PKM machine guns, 1 RPG launcher, 7 rifles and several types of other ammunition.
Similarly, Mujahideen also managed to overrun 2 enemy check posts in Khakrez district last night after an intense gunfight, killing 5 puppets and forcing the rest to flee leaving 1 RPG launcher, 1 PKM machine gun and 3 rifles behind.
2 Mujahideen are said to have been wounded in the operation.
