Over 13 killed; district taken over

BALKH, June 15 – The administrative building of Zaray district of northern Balkh province, its police headquarters, military units and intelligence directorate fell to Mujahideen.

Arms and ammunition consisting of 3 Kalashnikov machine guns, 4 RPG rockets,2  DShK, heavy Soviet machine guns, 1 Zikoyak (a KPV heavy anti-aircraft machine, gun 13 Humvee tanks, 1 military truck, 3 supply trucks, and ammunition of several kinds were recovered from the enemy installations.

Likewise, the enemy fled from another valley of this district where 3000 families were inhibited. The valley is now in full control of Mujahideen.

In the province’s Khas Balkh district, a military unit was taken by Mujahideen in which 10 enemy personnel sustained fatalities, while 6 machine guns were seized from the enemy.

In Balkh province’s Sholgar district, 1 3 puppets were killed and 1 was wounded with a tank destroyed during a clash with Mujahideen, while arms and ammo were seized from the enemy.

Elsewhere in the said district, Mujahideen seized a post abandoned by the enemy, whereas the civilians were martyred in the fires.

Similarly, 3 posts were abandoned by the enemy for fear of Mujahideen attacks and were taken over by Mujahideen in the limits of Kunduz city, the capital of northern Kunduz province.

Moreover, 2 posts were seized from the enemy in Aliabad district of Kunduz province with 5 Kalashnikov machine guns, 3 RPG rockets, 1 PK heavy machine gun, and ammo.

In a similar way, a base was taken over from the enemy in Spin Ghar district of Nangarhar province.
