Over 100,000 tons of Goods Transported through Railways in 1 Week

KABUL, Oct. 22 – As many as 103137 tons have been transported through the country’s railways this week, said Afghan Railway Authority in a press release today.

Details say, 8291 tons were imported through the Haritaan railway, 4536 tons through Aqeena railway and 16250 tons through the Turghondi railway, totaling 102877 tons Petroleum, non-petroleum and other goods imported into the country

Similarly 260 tons of exports, most of which are talcum powder, have been transferred during the said period.

The Afghanistan Railway Authority says that it is trying to provide suitable conditions for more transfers and provide necessary facilities to traders.

Officials of the ARA told a press conference in Kabul recently that in the past one year, 3 million 456 thousand 842 metric tons have been transferred through the Afghanistan Railway, of which Its exports are 268299 metric tons and its imports are 3 million 276 thousand 995 metric tons, from which 2 billion 581 million 589 thousand 482 AFN have been collected.
