OIC Deputy Director Calls on Foreign Minister

Mr. Tariq Ali Bakhit, the Deputy Director of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation(OIC) and Special Representative for Afghanistan, along with his delegation, held a meeting with Honorable Mawalawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the IEA, said Abdul Qahar Balkhi the spokesman of the foreign ministry.

The meeting was attended by officials from human rights, women’s affairs, and social affairs organizations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Discussions centered around Afghanistan, including the organization’s resolutions, decisions made during previous visits, and other relevant topics.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs addressed various issues, such as ending bloodshed in the country, strengthening security, and eliminating the ISIS group. He also highlighted the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to promoting women’s active participation in health, education, training, business, and other fields, as well as ensuring women’s fundamental rights. Additionally, information was shared regarding the continuous assistance provided by the Islamic Emirate to widows, orphans, and other vulnerable individuals.

Mr. Tariq Ali Bakhit conveyed greetings from the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and expressed that the visit was part of the organization’s strategy for constructive engagement with Afghanistan, particularly with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. He praised the efforts and achievements of the Islamic Emirate and emphasized the importance of direct interaction and understanding between the Islamic Emirate and member countries of the organization.

Mrs. Noora, the head of the special human rights commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, expressed gratitude to the Islamic Emirate for its accomplishments in terms of stability, peace, and governance.

Mrs. Dr. Amina, the general head of family and cultural affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, provided information about ongoing projects in various fields and expressed readiness to provide assistance based on Afghanistan’s priorities.

Ms. Dr. Afnan, the head of the Women’s Empowerment Organization, acknowledged the positive situation in Afghanistan, which differs from the portrayal often presented by foreign media. She expressed happiness with the opportunities provided by the government in the areas of education, health, and business.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs assured the delegation of the Islamic Emirate’s willingness to cooperate in all matters related to the Islamic world, including the Palestine issue. He emphasized the Islamic Emirate’s readiness to offer assistance to the Organization in any capacity.
