Officer killed, 2 hurt in country’s southeast

PAKTIKA, Sep. 30 – An officer was killed and his soldier was wounded in Wazi Khwa district of Paktika province on Saturday as bomb attack targeted the vehicle they were riding in.

In a similar attack, an officer was wounded in an explosion in Jani Khel district of the province.

In the province’s Khair Kot district fighting raged after the enemy walked into Mujahideen ambush on Friday but it is not yet clear if there were any casualties inflicted on the enemy.
