The National Statistics and Information Agency (NSIA) conducted a presentation outlining its recent significant endeavors and accomplishments during a press briefing held at the Government Information and Media Center on Wednesday.

The event was attended by key figures including Mr. Abdul Qahir Haji Idris, the Director General of the National Statistics and Information Agency, Mawlawi Mohammad Nabi Nusrat, the Deputy Director of Population Registration, Esmatullah Hakimi, the Acting Deputy Director of Statistics, Abdul Matin Salik, the Director General, along with agency directors and media representatives.

At the outset, Mr. Abdul Qahir Haji Idris, the Director General of the National Statistics and Information Agency, announced the delegation of certain corrective authority for citizenship ID cards to provincial directorates to enhance client services. This initiative, sanctioned by the Commander of the Faithful, has led to the establishment of an online queuing system.

Moreover, through a partnership with Maiwand Bank, branches have been established in numerous service branches and convenient service centers across the capital and provinces. These branches are tasked with the issuance of electronic ID cards, birth certificates, death certificates, corrections to paper ID cards, and other associated banking services, ensuring accessibility for citizens.

This collaboration has also streamlined and expedited the revenue collection process, fostering transparency in financial transactions.
