KABUL, Aug. 02 – Amid ongoing governmant accountability program The National Statistics and Information Authority presented its annuel report in a press confrence at government information center here on Wednasday.

In the accountability program of the government to the nation, officials of NSIA said that over 2.5 million national electronic ID distributed to Afghan citizens in the last year.

The head of the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) Dr. Faqeer Mohammad Ziyar, said that they try to provide services for 74,500 more citizens after the distribution of ID cards.

Dr. Ziyar added services provided to more than 320,000 citizens in the capital Kabul and 3,500,000 people in the provinces in the past year.

The National Statistics and Information Authority registered the departure of 12,000 foreign nationals, he added.

Since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, electronic IDs (Tazkira) had been distributed to more than 4.6 million citizens in the country.

The deputy of NSIA says that 74 electronic ID distribution centers all over the country are currently active of which 15 centers are in the capital and 59 centers are active in the provinces to provide services to fellow citizens.
