Today, Mr. Aibak Usmanov, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Kabul, presented a copy of his credentials to Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

 

Initially, the country’s Foreign Affairs Minister warmly welcomed the new Uzbek Ambassador and affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan would extend full cooperation in all relevant matters. He highlighted the active presence of both countries’ embassies in their respective capitals as a positive indicator of progress in bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of taking practical steps towards significant economic projects between the two nations.

 

In response, Mr. Aibak Usmanov characterized the relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan as fraternal and expressed his commitment to enhancing bilateral ties during his tenure. The new Uzbek Ambassador pledged to work towards further strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

 

Furthermore, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan pointed to the exchange of high-level delegations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan as a demonstration of the close and friendly relations existing between the two nations.
