 SAMANGAN, May 13 – The Islamic Emirate’s Mujahideen took over a number of villages and combat posts in Do Ab district of the northern province of Samangan on Friday  , Al-Emarah reporter said.

The enemy forces were flushed out of the vast territory after hours of fighting in which dozens of the enemy security personnel suffered casualties and a tank and a military vehicle were destroyed.

Habeebullah Andarabi, the unit’s commanding officer is said to be among those killed in the fighting.

The administrative district building and other government facilities are said to have been besieged, while the reinforcements called in are said to be under Mujahideen attacks.
