BAGHLAN, Oct. 9 – The Islamic Emirate’s Mujahideen have brought down an enemy helicopter airlifting supplies to the enemy in northern Baghlan province of Afghanistan, according to Al-Emarah News reports.

Mujahideen shot down the army helicopter in Dand-i-Ghori area bordered by Poli Khomir district of this province early Sunday morning when it was trying to carry logistical supplies to an army base known as Qarghan Ghudai which has been under tight siege and heavy attacks by Mujahideen over the past couple of days, it adds.

The enemy ground forces holed up in the mentioned base are facing a desperate shortage of food, arms, ammunition and logistics support and are unable to take the dead and wounded out of the base and transfer them for fear of Mujahideen attacks.
It further said the helicopter came down in pieces and burst into flames, leaving all those aboard dead.

The base under siege is the last enemy army sanctuary in the area in which 200 army personnel are stationed,7 of whom surrendered to Mujahideen with their arms the other day.

The enemy made several attempts to break Mujahideen siege of the base but they were foiled.
