Mujahideen enter Tarinkot and break prison, heavy clashes underway

URUZGAN, Sep. 08 – Reports arriving from Uruzgan province say that after taking over Kot Wal and Sar Khum areas of Tarinkot overnight as well as overrunning 7 check posts, Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate have entered the city of the provincial capital itself.

Officials say that Mujahideen have broken open the prison as well however the enemy has taken some prisoners as hostages and fled towards the airfield.

Street to street clashes are currently taking place against the enemy inside the city.
