Mujahideen enter Baghlan-e-Markazi: several bases, posts overrun

BAGHLAN, July 18 – Early this morning the Islamic Emirate’s fighters stormed a number of the bases and posts in Pol-e-Khomri and Baghlan-e-Markazi districts in the northern Baghlan province, according to Al-Emarah News reports.

In Baghlan-e-Markazi district, Mujahideen seized an important base known as Jamal Arbaki and took control of a large area in Dawlat Wazir, overrunning a combat post, while another post was dismantled in street 12 of Shar-e-Jadid  in the mentioned district with seizing control of  a number of the posts in the area.

Similarly, Mujahideen made their way into the main bazaar of Sahr-e-Jadid in Baghlan-e-Markazi and targeted the district police headquarters where fighting is said to be in progress. Mujahideen are continuing to deal deadly blows to the enemy forces with besieging the district police headquarter.

An unknown number of the joint enemy personnel suffered casualties in the fighting and two tanks were destroyed.

Elsewhere, in Poli-e-Khomri district of Baghlan, fighting continues to rage with Mujahideen overrunning 2 combat posts and have besieged and targeted 3 more posts, forcing the enemy to flee.

Severe fighting is underway in both front-lines opened by Mujahideen and the main highway between Baghlan and Kunduz provinces is under Mujahideen control.

A large number of the enemy troops are said to have sustained casualties in both front-lines and Mujahideen captured a sizable amount of arms and ammo from the enemy.

Separately Al-Emarah News said at least 3 puppets were killed and one got hurt when the vehicle the police were riding in was targeted by IEDs in the limits of the city of Kunduz today.
