PAKTIA, Aug. 13 – Three policemen were killed when a landmine blast ripped into the enemy vehicle in Gardiz city, the capital of Paktia province late yesterday night.

On Friday, Mujahideen struck the police academy with heavy weapons in Gardiz city but the death and injury toll has not been confirmed.

Early Saturday, Mujahideen forced the enemy convoy with loads of supplies into a stop in Zirok district Paktia province after opening fire on it.

A deadly fighting ensued in which 6 puppets were killed and 7 others were wounded. Four of the enemy supply trucks were destroyed in the operation.

With Mujahideen blocking the road and closing in on it the supply convoy has been forced to be halted in the area.
