PAKTIKA, Aug. 17 – A series of Mujahideen bomb attacks targeted the enemy task-force attempting to launch operation and break Mujahideen siege of the areas controlled by Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate in Gomal district of southeastern Paktika province on Thursday.
At least 5 puppets were killed and a further 3 were wounded with two vehicles destroyed in the bombings.
Facing Mujahideen bomb attacks, the enemy retreated with heavy losses.
Late Wednesday, 3 puppets including an officer were killed and an additional 4 suffered wounds in bomb attack elsewhere in the said district.
According to a report from neighboring province of Paktia, 2 enemy soldiers were killed and a further 5 suffered injuries in fighting with Mujahideen in Jani Khel district of this province yesterday night.
