Officials from the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing presented their annual performance report during a press conference held at the Government Information and Media Center.

Key Highlights from the Past Year:

Urban Development Plans: Approval of 57 urban development plans for provincial and district centers.
Qatari Township: Completion of the first phase of the Qatari Township in Kabul.
Urban Violations: Identification of 3,181 urban violations.
Construction Oversight: Supervision of 443 construction projects nationwide.
Land Transfer for Migrant Townships: Measures put in place for land transfer.
New Kabul City: Approval of the detailed plan for the third phase of New Kabul City.

Officials reported that 25% of the Nile Bagh Township construction in the Dar-ul-Aman area of Kabul city has been completed, with full operational status expected within 38 months.

Additional Achievements:

Kandahar and Helmand: Inauguration of a residential township in Kandahar province and ongoing construction of a residential township for 500 families in Helmand province.
Nangarhar: Completion of a housing survey for 20,000 families.
Transport Terminals: Progress on building designs and land transfer to the Ministry of Transport to alleviate traffic congestion in Char Asiab, Khak Jabbar, Estalif, and Arghandi districts of Kabul province.
New Kabul City: Continued construction and favorable opportunities for private sector engagement, along with planning and design of a standard medical complex.

Other Achievements:

Township Plans: Approval of detailed plans for 13 townships.
Regional Development Plans; Preparation for Nuristan, Sar-e Pol, and Kunduz.
Public Utility Buildings: Layout planning for 315 areas.
Herat City: Improvement plans for 15 districts.
Design Work: Development of 163 construction maps, 249 engineering designs, and 99 project assessments.

Priorities for the Current Year:

Under the directive of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, the priorities include:

Detailed Plans: Preparation for districts and topographic surveys for township construction in 16 provinces.
Implementation of Plans: Detailed plans in 10 provinces and for 7 zones and 16 provinces, as well as residential areas in Kabul and other provinces.
National Comprehensive Strategic Plan: Drafting and improvement plans for the centers of 6 provinces, along with implementation in the provincial centers of Parwan and Faryab.
